I help senior leaders to structure their thinking, visualize their future and accelerate decision making.
In 2022, I founded Visual Pathfinders based on my hands-on experience and best practices as a facilitator, visual strategist, and coach during numerous corporate strategy sessions. As a design-centric facilitator, illustrator/designer, and analyst, I have designed and led more than a hundred collaborative strategy sessions across 36 industries on 5 continents, working with leadership teams from Fortune 500 companies worldwide.
Pathfinders
(,pɑːθˌfaɪndə / păthfīn′dər, päth) – „a person who goes ahead and discovers or shows others a path or way.“ … „one that discovers a new course or way, especially through or into unexplored regions.“
Helping others to get clarity, a shared understanding and direction. Discover a new course or way, esp. through or into unexplored regions.
Overall, the term „Visual Pathfinder“ aptly describes the role of a facilitator in helping management teams navigate toward a common goal. By using visual tools and techniques to simplify complex ideas and facilitate collaboration, Visual Pathfinders enable management teams to achieve alignment and work toward a common vision.
I have more than twenty-five years of experience addressing IT challenges and successfully aligning IT and business functions. I am an accomplished facilitator, visual strategist, and coach with a proven track record of guiding executive teams through strategic and complex business challenges using the power of visual thinking.
As Founder and Managing Partner/CEO of Visual Pathfinders, I help leadership teams achieve alignment on priorities and goals while co-creating a shared vision and action plan for their transformation journey. This accelerates the decision-making process through better structured, more effective and more enjoyable meetings.
In June 2023, I also became a Certified Coach and Master Practitioner for the Shared Vision Toolkit, LLC (SVT), helping others become competent and learn to conduct successful Shared Vision Sessions in their organizations.
At DXC Technology, I worked as a facilitator, illustrator/designer, analyst, and Managing Partner for the Global ENVISION Practice and Customer Connect Team. In collaboration with the company’s portfolio, sales/business development, and account teams, he helped design, orchestrate, and successfully deliver C-level engagements for the company’s strategic customers, such as (virtual) C-level customer roundtables, advisory boards, customer growth summits, and executive briefings.
This journey began in 2011 with the launch of the ENVISION practice at Hewlett Packard, where I played a key role in igniting and developing this multi-disciplinary global design thinking practice, which was subsequently recognized by the company and its customers as a unique differentiator.

In addition to numerous internal strategy sessions, I have facilitated and co-facilitated over one hundred engagements with strategic Fortune 500 clients across multiple industries and cultural environments around the world, starting at HP’s Executive Briefing Center in Silicon Valley and expanding to Europe, South Africa, Asia, and Australia.

These engagements showcased a new way of interacting with customers, strengthened and generated high-level relationships, impacted contracts totaling billions of dollars, created hundreds of millions in new business opportunities, and achieved an average Net Promoter Score (NPS) above 70. For example, I had the opportunity to design and participate in a two-day summit of the top ten Tier 1 technology suppliers to a large global bank based in Germany. Our goal was to co-create solutions to improve collaboration, streamline inefficient processes, and accelerate the bank’s transformation.
Prior to that, I worked as a management consultant for Detecon International and held several management positions at the German, European and global levels of DHL Express. Most recently, as VP Global IT Strategy & Planning, I was responsible for setting the long-term direction and ensuring cross-regional alignment in areas such as IT governance, IT strategy, enterprise architecture, global project portfolio management, information management, performance measurement, and internal and external IT communication and networking.
I studied Information Science/Information Systems at the University of Cologne and received my Ph.D. for explorative research using case studies on how the „phenomenon“ of electronic business has impacted business transformation in companies.
I am married with two grown up children, born and living in Cologne, Germany, and love to gain experience by traveling, attending concerts, staying in touch and having fun with friends across the world, and making new friends challenging and broadening my view with fresh perspectives.

We run C-level executive sessions in the USA, Europe, and Asia, focusing on the Future of Work, the relationship between the CIO and CHRO for enterprise transformation, Security, IT Modernization, and Cloud.
Led the design, shaping, and facilitation of strategic customer engagements for DXC’s strategic Platinum customers. Coached account teams on strategic customer messaging, customer interactions, and frameworks to foster strategic partnerships and drive growth conversations.
